Laser RESOLVE for acne scars and wrinkles
If you’re looking to treat those unwanted acne scars, wrinkles and/or aged and photodamaged skin then look no further than our new Laser RESOLVE treatment.
Laser RESOLVE is a non-ablative fractional resurfacing method, meaning it transforms your skin while leaving the epidermis – or surface of the skin – intact. The Picoway system uses high power and short pulses (Picosecond laser pulses) to encourage new collagen and elastin to form, which reduces acne scars and wrinkles, reversing the ageing process. The laser fractures pigment particles without overheating the surrounding tissues.
The Picosecond technology is a novel approach to skin rejuvenation for its ability to provide the generated optical breakdown of tissues with minimal risk. Laser Induced Optical Breakdown – or LIOB – occurs leading to the creation of subsurface ablation vacuoles. These occur in the epidermis and upper papillary dermis regions of the skin layers promoting structural support and rejuvenation of wrinkles, volume loss and acne scars.
Cosmetic Injectables Australia offers the most advanced acne scar, wrinkle, and skin tightening and lifting treatment in Darwin with virtually minimal pain. Minimal downtime is required so you can have your treatment and get on with your busy life.

Prior to your Laser RESOLVE treatment, our experienced registered nurses will prep the area to be treated. A topical anaesthetic is available if you would like it but your treatment is not expected to be painful.
Our Registered Nurses will use a range of techniques including cross-hatch, circular and two-way patterns on your face, paying particular attention to problem areas.
The laser energy level will be set based on evidence-based practice, your skin type and comfort level to ensure great results and a pleasant experience.
Safety considerations are important during your Laser RESOLVE treatment session at our Darwin clinic. For your protection, both you and all the personnel in the treatment room will wear protective eyewear during the procedure. Your provider will take all necessary precautions to ensure your safety.
Treatment is most effective on clean skin that has had limited exposure to the sun in the last 4-6 weeks. We cannot treat you if you have tanned within the last 2 weeks, as you are at risk of developing hyperpigmentation (dark spots) or hypopigmentation (white spots) that may last for months.
We can’t provide treatment to your skin if it is infected, if you have open sores, or if you have active acne.
The best way to ensure your treatment can go ahead, is to book in a free consultation with one of our Registered Nurses who can discuss the treatment and your skin specifically.
If you have had a history of cold sores, your Registered Nurse may recommend a prophylactic antiviral therapy. Follow the directions for your particular antiviral medication.
After your treatment, your skin may show some mild irritation/redness/erythema and you may have some itching for a few days. If you have any concerns about your skin, please let us know.
It’s important that you avoid wearing makeup for 24 hours after your treatment and avoid sun exposure for at least 14 days post treatment.
After those 14 days, always apply SPF 30+ sunscreen before going out into the sun and continue re-applying.
Wash the treatment area twice daily with a gentle cleanser and a light moisturiser that won’t clog your pores. If you can, avoid acids, irritants and active serums – including toner and face scrubs – for a week after your treatment.
How long will a treatment take?
The treatment generally takes around 60 minutes.
Does it hurt?
