Please Note: Lip filler treatments will be performed up until 2 week prior to international air travel and 48 hours prior to interstate air travel. These measures are to promote patient safety post dermal filler treatment.
Lip injections with hydrating dermal fillers are a cosmetic injectables treatment used to enhance the appearance of the lips by adding volume, improving shape, and smoothing fine lines around the mouth.
There are a number of different types of dermal fillers that can be used to perform treatment.
These dermal fillers are explained thoroughly during your complimentary consultation.
Our team of experience registered nurses and nurse practitioners are nationally and internationally trained in performing lip injections, bringing back techniques that help to create a natural result
During the treatment, the area is numbed with a topical cream or the injection of local anaesthetic. The type of pain relief you wish to utilise is discussed during your consultation.
The dermal filler is then injected into the lips using a small needle or cannula (most commonly needle). The injection sites are carefully chosen to achieve the desired shape and volume.
Please do not massage the treated area unless instructed, as the dermal filler remains malleable for up to two weeks after treatment.
The results of lip injections can be seen immediately, and the treatment typically lasts for 6-12 months, depending on the type of dermal filler used and individual factors such as metabolism and lifestyle.
Like any cosmetic injectable procedure, there are potential risks and side effects, including bruising, swelling, and infection, but these are generally rare and temporary. All risks and complications are discussed during your consult and highlighted thoroughly throughout your consent form that you must read and understand prior to treatment.
