Below is a small sample of before and after images, used with permission, from filler treatments carried out at our clinics. We’ll discuss your desired appearance at your initial consultation and tailor your filler treatment to suit.
Dermal fillers available today are the newest technology in minimally invasive, non-permanent facial rejuvenation.
Cosmetic dermal fillers commonly used today bind with 1,000 times its volume in water, which has a couple of results when used in facial rejuvenation: first, it volumises, softens, and hydrates the skin, and second, it stabilises intracellular structures. This helps bind collagen and elastin fibres together, creating a visibly improved skin appearance and contributing to the prevention of future volume loss.
The cosmetic filler itself is a smooth gel which is injected within the dermis to correct and contour medium-depth facial wrinkles and loss of volume while helping you achieve optimal facial aesthetics. Results last anywhere from 6 to 24 months.
At your complimentary consultation, we’ll discuss your medical history as well as your skin concerns and expectations with you. We will also work with you to devise a personalised treatment plan, tailored to your preferences and current ageing process.
You will have the option of going ahead with treatment on the same day if you wish, or you may schedule treatment for a future time.
On the day of your treatment, we will book a review follow up appointment.
Cheek, Lip, Chin, Tear Trough and Jawline Dermal filler augmentation results are visible on the day of your treatment and continue to improve over the next two to four weeks as the product gradually attracts and absorbs water. Your results will vary, depending on your current ageing process and your individual body’s response to treatment.
Expect the dermal filler treatment to take about 15 to 20 minutes – or, if you plan to go ahead with treatment on the same day as your consultation, allow 45 minutes for your whole visit.
As per regulatory requirements set by our governing bodies, all pricing details for treatments are disclosed during an in-person, complimentary consultation at our clinic locations.
Local anaesthetic is incorporated into the gel, which provides significant comfort during treatment. We also use ice during the procedure to further reduce discomfort, swelling, and bruising.
Downtime after treatment is minimal; most clients are able to return to work quickly. However, it is possible that you may experience bruising, swelling, redness, or tenderness for a week or two following treatment. After your treatment, you will need to follow a set of care instructions to maximise and maintain your results.
Please do not massage the treated area unless instructed, as the dermal filler remains malleable for up to two weeks after treatment.
Risks associated with the use of Dermal Filler Treatments are redness, swelling, bruising, tenderness or itching sensation in the chin, cheek, lips, tear troughs or other treated area.
These common side effects typically resolve within a few days. Occasional cases of bumps and pimples, sometimes accompanied by redness, may occur a few days to a few weeks after the injection.
These common side effects are temporary and generally disappear spontaneously in a few days. Very rare cases of reversible discolouration at the injection sites have also been described after Hyaluronic acid injections.
In addition, rare cases of abscess (hard and swollen sore that may contain pus), granuloma (small accumulation of tissue) and blocking of blood vessels causing damage to surrounding skin and blindness have been reported.
If you experience any inflammatory or other reactions that last more than 1 week, you should notify your doctor or nurse immediately. If necessary, appropriate treatment may be prescribed. We are here to support you
You should avoid the following for at least 24 hours:
You may experience palpable lumps at the injection site. Please do not massage these (unless instructed by your healthcare professional), as any lumpiness will subside as the product stabilizes within your tissues.
For 2 weeks after your Dermal Filler treatment, please avoid IPL, laser treatments or chemical skin peeling as there is possible risk of an inflammatory reaction at the injection site.
It is common to experience temporary bruising, swelling and tenderness at the site of injection. (Please note the treated area may appear uneven until the swelling subsides).
Dermal Fillers are temporary procedures. To maintain the benefits of these products, you may need a touch-up in 6 months, especially in areas prone to maximum movement e.g. the lips.
Please feel free to contact either of clinics during business hours with any concerns. Clients with dermal filler injections may contact the after hours phone provided.
