The versatility of dermal fillers is no true secret these days; they have the ability to do an array of things. Chin contouring is a treatment that we can bring to our clients to help permanently destroy fat cells, so you can say goodbye to the excess fat that surrounds your jawline.
The treatment involves a digestive enzyme that is injected into the stubborn fat areas and with this the cells lose their ability to store and accumulate fat, making this the perfect treatment for someone who even with all their hard work in the kitchen and the gym can’t budge problem areas.
As stated by The Derm Institute ‘results are immediate for those who love instant gratification with minimal downtime’. So if you’re someone who needs that quick beauty fix with stellar results then Chin Contouring is the treatment for you! (1)
Having the ability to completely change the shape of your face, with dermal fillers the chin can be increased in length or size, or shape of the chin creating a more pronounced chin can allow the structure of your face to be improved. The fillers are able to even create a symmetrical chin with one treatment leaving a more balanced and structured chin and jawline. (2)
For best results we recommend that at least two treatments for optimal results.
There are a few side effects when it comes to this treatment, and your qualified nurse will discuss everything with you at the time of your consultation but some common side effects are redness, swelling, and itchiness around the treatment area. Mild to moderate swelling in the treated area is expected and lasts around 12-24 hours.
For post treatment care there is a little downtime but for a killer jawline sometimes we have to sacrifice! To reduce inflammation apply ice to the area for 20 minutes on and 20 minutes off for 24 hours. Expect a little bit of swelling and redness for the next few days. Put your feet up girl no exercise for the next 24 hours (so cancel that HIIT class). No touching of the treatment area (it’s not worth it trust us), this extends to all facial treatments for the next two weeks, so make sure you get your brow shaping in before your contouring treatment!
